  Aside from the top five positions, it's not a true meritocratic ranking; it's a constantly growing list of extreme bands that fit into the Death Metal category. Stay away from it, if you can.

    The ranking, apart from the very top positions, is completely "random." It's a constantly updated list based on the names that come to my mind. I consider Deicide to be true clowns, not so much in music, although I've never liked them, but because of the behavior of that lunatic Glen Benton.

    You're not entirely wrong. The stories of suicide at 33, the inverted cross burned into the forehead, and so many other things... When you believe too much in your persona and end up becoming a parody of yourself. Musically speaking, however, the first three albums are classics of Floridian death metal. I'm also crazy about Scott Burns' productions!
    
    A similar argument can be made for Immortal in black metal. When I think of clowns in metal, they come to mind hahaha even though I appreciate their albums.

    So: Macabre, Konkhra, Kataklysm, Haemorrage, Defecation, Righteous Pig, Disharmonic Orchestra (heard of them before), Mortification, Lock Up, Anal Cunt (I think they play grindcore but I've never heard them), Aborted and Illdisposed.

    The Cancers are English and we were played by James Murphy, then in Obituary and Death. Haemorrhage are Spanish and for me are the heirs of the first Carcass sound. The Australian Mortification make Death Metal with Christian lyrics!! Aborted play Death-Grind and come from Belgium while, to conclude, Lock Up is a supergroup formed by Shane Embury and Jesse Pintado. I recommend the crazy debut "Pleasures Pave Sewers" which is a photonic shotgun... See you soon Elf!!!!!!!!
