Five years of waiting...an eternity for me.

Just a few hours ago, I got my hands on the new album by Napalm Death; one listen, not even finished. But I'm ready.

I'm jotting down a few thoughts about this true institution of extremism in Music.

Just listen to the incredibly violent opening track; 147 seconds of UltraGrindcore played with vehement, overflowing, malicious, sneaky ferocity. Years pass, but they remain above everything and everyone; sweeping away the old competition and the young heavy metal newcomers who have tried to approach their dark throne...in vain...

Three remain: Mark, Shane, and Danny. Mitch left the band after the 2015 tour, and I'm not sure if he participated in the recordings with his agonizing six strings. But that detail matters little because they always make you feel FEAR.

Raw, inhumanly fierce assaults; IndustrialNoise slowdowns that soil and bloody the dramatic scene.

Music mostly credited to Shane; lyrics entrusted to Mark's blasphemous vocals. A partnership that has existed and endured for over thirty years.

Ruthless, annihilating, fierce.

Twelve tremendous blows, giving no respite in the auditory magma they set in motion.

Full, pressing production; sounds that split you in four.

I came out stunned...and that's what I wanted on this dark afternoon, in this current life of shit...CONTAGION...

Thank you, guys; I hope to see you in concert soon. I'll slam under the stage; I'll experience pleasure and pain.

Ad Maiora.
