Darker Days Ahead was released in 2006 with a different lineup. David Vincent and Pete Sandoval were later associated with Morbid Angel; Jesse Pintado later played with Napalm Death. Oscar Garcia has been associated with Nausea. Scott Burns is credited as producer on World Downfall in contemporary sources.

Reviews treat World Downfall (1989) as a seminal grindcore/death-metal landmark. Critics praise the ferocity, songwriting and performances, especially drums and riffs. Darker Days Ahead (2006) is seen as a solid comeback with a different lineup. The lyrics and cover art emphasize apocalypse and anti-capitalist themes.
