Vito Genovese, born in Campania, moved to the USA at just 15 years old but always remained in a community where his Campanian dialect was spoken.

Something happens just 10 years after moving to America, and he returns to Campania for another FIFTEEN, *ZZO, YEARS. Then he goes back to New York.

The numbers: 30 years in Italy, only 10 in New York among the Neapolitans.

And yet, the charming Jewish/Anglophone director presents us with Tony Soprano.

Annoying to watch, tedious, not very faithful to the story... COMPLETE SHIT.

Well, this makes it seem like he died at 40, while in reality, like all the tough ones, he lasted quite a while (I think 80) – so what about the other 40 years?

I think I'll watch it anyway. But... De Niro playing both Genovese and Costello? Are they out of actors?

75% of the film is set during the weeks of his return after 15 years to Naples, as a Neapolitan. He was in his early forties, even though De Niro is made up to look like a 70-year-old.

He comes in and says "eyo howyadoin?" to his friend Costello, also Neapolitan.

Eyo, howyaddoin. A Neapolitan, in 1951.

The only right thing he says is "ú cazz'", the rest is just annoying.

Ah at least nobody says "Minchia," the only thing missing to make it a Big Bang.

File Video I have it ★★★★
The poor box office performance of Rock n Rolla continues to claim victims.

It's not bad, it could actually be really great... without all these fucking Americans. The only Cockney piece lasts for 1 minute, it fits perfectly, and then it's over. You can count a maximum of 5/6 "oi!" against 50 "hey."

Still better than practically any entertainment film from Hateful 8 onward, but it could have been much, much better.
