Defecation is a grindcore project linked to Mick Harris and Mitch Harris. The debut Purity Dilution arrived in 1989; a second album, Intention Surpassed, followed in 2003 as a solo effort by Mitch Harris.

Formed by Mick Harris and Mitch Harris; debut album Purity Dilution (1989) recorded and mixed in 29 hours at Birdsong, Worcester, England (6–8 March 1989); associated with Nuclear Blast (NB 018); Dan Lilker assisted in the control room; Intention Surpassed (2003) was created solo by Mitch Harris.
