General Notes
The structure of the DeBaser.it website does not necessarily require the submission of personal data, as browsing and reading reviews and forums are completely free for users.
However, to enable the use of certain services, users must explicitly and freely provide the website with a valid and active email address along with the related information. The services that require an email address are essentially those linked to site registration, which allows:
- posting authenticated comments on reviews;
- submitting reviews to the site;
- creating DeMeetings between users;
- submitting artist insights or monographs;
- accessing myDeB;
- creating a personal profile;
- sending samples to the site.
Registering on the site may imply consent to receive in your email inbox the daily newsletter with the «latest reviews published» on DeBaser.it. Users can temporarily stop receiving the newsletter through myDeB or permanently by writing to disiscrivetemi@debaser.it.
Using the services also implies consent to receive in your email inbox notifications about your own comments and:
- comments from other users on your submitted and published reviews;
- comments from other users on reviews where you left an authenticated comment;
- messages related to CDcrossing from other users;
- comments from other users on forums where you left a comment or posted your email address.
Where indicated, it is possible to remove your email address to stop receiving notifications.
In addition to the email address explicitly provided by the user, other data may be recorded while browsing DeBaser.it.
These primarily consist of cookies, which the site may send to the user's computer during browsing—if allowed by the browser settings—and are used to recognize the user when returning to DeBaser with the same computer.
This recognition ensures better navigation on the site,
for example by automatically filling out form fields with the registered email address.
Users can freely disable cookies by configuring their browser settings.
In accordance with the requirements of the Privacy Authority,
we clarify that cookies issued by DeBaser are strictly technical and not for profiling.
We use Google Analytics for anonymized access statistics. The Google Analytics cookie is also considered a technical cookie.
Accessing the site also implies the recording of:
- data from the myDeB profile;
- type of browser used by the user;
- operating system in use;
- IP address of the last connection.
These data are stored in a user table (not encrypted) on the database (MSSQL SERVER). The specifically listed data are not accessible via the WEB, will not be disclosed, and are only accessible to the system administrator and the legal representative of DeBaser.it.
