Anyway, a very basic ranking: the usual two or three hundred most famous names...

@fedezan and stonecoldcrazy oh no, you should have said "damn jurix now I understand why you turned out like this" and "damn jurix barbara d'urso is coming to personally deliver the guinness to you" :-D

@stone: Barbara made a mistake with me and handed me The Guinness. ;D (just to change things up...)

I agree with Metafisico, the Stooges were fundamental to punk, maybe the first real punk band. Damn, though, this ranking is so comprehensive and rich that one can only say: good job, Jurix! If you really know them all, you're a legend.

What kind of PUNK ranking is this? A punk ranking should be short, angry, and sharp; this can be a progressive metal ranking, at best.

Yes, Jurix, you're a fucking project manager disguised as a crest-headed parrot!

Damn Fede, you crack me up! :D But where did Jurix go???

  • JURIX
    16 jan 11
Jurix is in 34627th place; if I get that far, I’ll join too. Anyway, I threw that CAZZifica out one night at work, and it’s not like the one in 157th place is that much worse than the one in 63rd; it’s just that after the first 30, I tossed them a bit haphazardly, as is fitting for a punk ranking.

Among other things, there are quite a few names that I wanted to include, how do you get them added to DeBaser-Ver? I mean, I can't find CIRCLE JERKS, AKTIVNA PROPAGANDA, IFIX TCEN TCEN, SOCIALIZED CRUCIFIXION, SMBZ, 102 TRUFFE, FLORE DODE PANSERE, BLUE VOMIT... huh...

D.a.n.i.: let's say that to keep it modest, I would define that album as somewhere between stunning and wonderful.

The Circle Jerks are definitely there, take a closer look. There are also some reviews about them.

The mystery is revealed, Jurix: you have to write THE Circle Jerks..:D

eeeeeehm!!! these chezzi!!! I see the nerorgasmo in 97th place, arrrrgh!!! anyway, since they're my favorites and I've been racking my brain for a while trying to find a band with similar lyrics to theirs, could you point me to some??? Thanks for the rispostation!!!

The legendary Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, with Fat Mike on bass, are missing, as well as the very valid Dropkick Murphys :D

Not to mention the fundamentals (here in Sardinia) Kenze Neke and Rodeo Clown hehe.

  • JURIX

ALFREDO: Thanks ziocan, I've never been able to stand that "THE" in front of band names. ALE9t0: Well, as for sound, other bands from the scene were similar, but as for lyrics, the Nerorgasmo were, I think, unique, a step above all, beautifully dark. KORREA: I like something from Me First And The Gimme Gimmies (like the legendary cover of "O Sole Mio"), for sure I’ve forgotten some names. I really like the Dropkick Murphys, maybe I'll put them in that HC (I didn’t even include Raw Power).
