British rock band formed in London in 1976, fronted by Siouxsie Sioux. Influential in post-punk and gothic rock, with a career spanning the late 1970s to the mid-1990s.

Fronted by Siouxsie Sioux (vocals) with longtime collaborator Steven Severin (bass); notable members and collaborators include Budgie (drums), John McGeoch (guitar) and Robert Smith of The Cure (collaborator). The band released seminal early albums (The Scream, Join Hands, Juju), valued b-sides (collected on Downside Up) and recorded live documents such as Nocturne. John Cale is credited as a collaborator/producer on material for The Rapture.
