American hardcore punk band formed by Greg Ginn, central to the US hardcore scene and known for seminal records such as Damaged and My War.

Formed by guitarist Greg Ginn in the late 1970s in the Los Angeles/Hermosa Beach area. Greg Ginn founded SST Records. Henry Rollins was the band's lead vocalist during the key 1981–1986 period. The band is widely cited as a major influence on hardcore punk and on later grunge/sludge acts.
