Debaser remains a cool site and very useful for discovering new music to listen to; it's a pity that alongside the real reviews about music, you'll also find writings from aspiring psychologists, astrologers, know-it-alls, show-offs, fake intellectuals, snobs, pseudo-educated people, wiseacres, and posers, who are regularly glorified by a standard section of users who seem to have found, in the nonsensical praise of reviews written mainly to "amaze", a nauseating and, indeed, thoroughly predictable, national-popular-debaser sport.
-So what the fuck are you doing on DeBaser then?
- I just told you that DeBaser remains the number 1 place to find new music... in the end, alas, it's the only database on the web containing more than 23,000 reviews. All you need to do is rummage around a bit and, among reviews and comments, you'll (almost) always find something.
-Well, but if you browse Scaruffi’s database, you’ll find plenty of music there, too. Then there’s Ondarock and a myriad of smaller sites...with Google’s help, anything is possible...
-Maybe so, but I’d miss out on the funniest part: luckily, besides the pathetic lackeys, there are people who write things that are spot-on, or that at least make you smile. Here is The best:

<< I didn't mean 2006 or 2005, but metal in its entirety. >> You just gave a 5 to an album with an incredibly metal sound. Played by people who have been living with metalheads for 20 years. One is even married, to a metalhead, and has two other bands, both metal. The other plays with various metalheads and if you ask him what his favorite albums are, 8 out of 10 are metal. When he had just finished high school, he said that thing about My War, but it's been 20 years now that he actually likes metal much more than rock. The moral: wow, what a genius you are. << why are there so many die-hard metal fans in the comments of a review of a band that draws more from a certain type of punk (black flag) anyway?>> Triple wow, you’re an awesome comedian.

don’t mess with punk, you touchy, mean metalheads... one burp from The Clash would sweep you and your families away...

And all the people who played with the Melvins, where did they end up? In Metal. And the two guys who are now the new wing of the Melvins, where do they come from? From Metal. And what are you saying? No one knows. And where do you find Melvins reviews when the album has been out for five seconds on the market? On Metal sites. And what do people wear at Melvins concerts? 70% metal shirts. And when you search for Melvins online, where do you find them? With users whose hard drives are full of Metal. And what are you saying? Still, no one knows. But you're funny, congrats. I WANT TO NOMINATE YOU AS A HUMAN CASE (And I’ve always had a sense for this that turned out to be right).

fine. Alessio, I care about you but these are the rules, if you’re nominated there’s no going back. Human case number 154; let me get ahead of my work: human case number 155: eletto1989, who I don’t know who insisted I add, but I trust them. Enjoy your stay all cases and casettes!
