For now, I really like it a lot, obviously. I would have added one of Hancock's, either Empyrean Isles or Speak Like a Child, but those are insignificant details.

Yes, Empyrean Isles maybe I'll put it in, I have to see if I can fit it in. I want to include exactly 100.

I don't know!! What are they doing?
    • hjhhjij
      3 aug 12
They are among the most interesting exponents of San Francisco psychedelia. I only have "Happy Trails," which is an acid masterpiece ;)

It's a live performance of psychedelia that some consider even superior to Live/Dead... I'm not of that opinion, but it remains a great listen nonetheless! ;)

Live/Dead can't be beaten, but Happy Trails is right behind for me.

Jdv, have they made any other good ones like Quicksilver? No, because I would like to hear something else from them but I'm afraid of the comparison with Happy Trails.

I only listened to the live because I heard that the studio albums sound a bit dated and naive these days. On the other hand, even the early Grateful, while excellent, seem less convincing compared to the live shows ^^

Ah, here we go. Anyway, I’ll give it a listen; after all, the studio albums by the Grateful, for example, even though they’re inferior to the live performances, I still find them very good.

Sure, I will definitely listen to them.

I provide you with some names, all of them American: U.S.A., Seeds, Red Crayola, Moving Sidewalks, Steve Miller Band, Mad River, Bruce Palmer, H.P. Lovecraft, Electric Prunes, Frumious Bandersnatch, Country Joe & the Fish, Chocolate Watchband, Blues Magos, Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Laura Nyro, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pearls Before Swine, Steppenwolf. In the UK you can't miss Soft Machine1, Peter Green: the end of the game, John Mayall, Groundhogs, Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, John Dummer Blues Band, Savoy Brown, Ten Years After (because the blues has its value), then Pretty Things: s.f. sorrow is too beautiful and too important, and here I stop...
