Albert King (born Albert Nelson; April 25, 1923 – December 21, 1992) was an American blues guitarist and singer, noted for his powerful left-handed guitar style and his influence on later electric blues players.

Recorded the landmark album Born Under a Bad Sign (1967). Famous for playing a Gibson Flying V nicknamed 'Lucy'. Influenced guitarists including Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Performed the 1983 televised In Session jam with Stevie Ray Vaughan; that session appears in DeBaser reviews.
