      Rankings like this - and rankings in general - have never made sense to me... of any kind. I'm always curious about those who act as experts, saying that one guitarist or anyone is better than another when they might only know how to play the C chord and a few scales. Great musicians could only be judged technically by their peers; you don’t need Einstein for that, and not just great artists but greats in every field.

      So, these lists are totally a product of personal taste. Like, is that painter better than the other...? A ranking only makes sense at the limit for the success and influence they've had (but even here in the end, people retreat into their own taste genres).

      Moreover, in singers, mixing rock, soul, jazz makes absolutely no sense to me; on the contrary... all those old jazz-blues singers with phenomenal voices?! Having said that, reading quickly, it seems Gillan is somewhere in the middle of the list. The surprising thing - but it might be an oversight - is that it seems Marriott is missing, among the greatest of all time.

      Instead, I like rankings. They spark discussions. And they are definitely the result of personal tastes.
      I can't make one, because I would vote for myself as the best singer in the Milky Way ahahahah.
