Eric Clapton (born 30 March 1945) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter, influential in blues and rock. He rose to prominence with the Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos and has had a long solo career.

Born 30 March 1945 in Ripley, Surrey. Nicknamed "Slowhand". Rose to fame with the Yardbirds and Cream; member of Derek and the Dominos; widely known for blues interpretations and major live/acoustic recordings.
