It is an album that defines Pink Floyd like probably no other, in the best possible way and in every possible sense. There's even no point in asking whether it's their best album or not (I myself don't think it's the best) because it is nonetheless essential, from the cover to the heartbeat that opens it, to the heartbeat that closes it #piperatthegatesofthemoon
