  • You're sick. I could understand a moron with 10 albums at home; he could probably pull off a 60-position ranking. But how you manage it, I really have no idea.

Of course, the entire ranking disgusts me quite a bit, that's logical and obvious, but I have to emphasize that those Rolling Stones at number four really grind my gears because it makes no sense at all. It clashes terribly. And I reiterate that you’re sick, always with affection and kisses.

Aside from the Punk Floyd, the top positions are debatable; I imagine you consider it trendy to downgrade the Bitols. I wish you a speedy recovery if it’s true that you are unwell.

Ah, come on, you even commented. Come on, you’re really something: how do you think there’s any seriousness in making a ranking of modern music history? It’s just a joke and here and there, some names are thrown in based on a general idea. I whipped it up in 30 seconds, there are inconsistencies and I certainly don’t claim to elevate it to a handbook. For instance: how in the world did Buckley end up in 38th place, only God knows. Anyway, you’re a sweetheart: you ended up in my neck of the woods and only intentionality could have brought you here, so you are undoubtedly thinking of me. Furthermore: it’s too easy for you to chatter on, since you make one-author rankings. What a load of crap: no one can tell you "Oh, no, the XYZ don’t fit in third place, and moving back the ABC is a scandal." You throw in one author and that’s the end of the story: you don’t even stimulate the debate. Repent. I love u.

  • On the homepage, I saw in the rankings "greatest artist of all time" By Eneathedevil, and you think I wouldn't click?

Then seeing 60 spots including the Rolling Stones in fourth place... and I'm going to refrain from telling you to fuck off? You know I could never.

@[Eneathedevil]: please review this ranking, it is unworthy of a noble capish of your stature.

It was a "riveda," not a "rivedi."

Well, it's a WIP! However, I welcome suggestions. Please note, despite the title referring to the "best artist," I had to ensure that I didn't mix high and low culture, so you should actually interpret it as a ranking of contemporary authors that can be classified within the context of rock music (you won't find Stockhausen, Sun Ra, or Riley here, just to be clear).

Well, Queen at number 73 here. Quite enough to be a bit of a snob. Anyway, I still need to adjust it: people like Hoenig and Cuzkay should be higher up. Then one day I'll also do that one on the avant-garde, even if I'm definitely missing several pieces.
