    The first three match my own: Leonardo, along with Raphael and Caravaggio, for painting. Michelangelo with Bernini in sculpture, and Beethoven with Bach and Mozart for music. A diverse ranking, as it should be for a list that goes by the name of "greatest artist of all time."

    ..I don't like the ranking.. however, I respect your good taste... I don't like it because it mixes, in a tangled mess, some "classical musicians", forgetting, for some reason, others of absolute level (Bach, Wagner, Brahms), with some jazz musicians that, in my opinion, are chosen at random (the lack of Coltrane and Mingus is inexplicable), and then throwing in the mix a couple of painters, two rock musicians, and an actor/director here and there... in short, I understand these are your tastes, but you could make separate rankings.. rock and jazz musicians in one ranking, classical musicians, painters, and writers in another, and one for directors.. otherwise, it’s not very clear..

    For more organic rankings, one can always create "specialized" ones by genre, but for this one, precisely because it is "generic" by name, one cannot attribute a certain degree of dispersiveness to it. Otherwise, we would have to make one with 200 artists...

    Exactly, Raphael. It's very general and varies for this reason. The ranking is a game. Very subjective. And I don't include Bach and Mingus. I do accept the suggestion for Coltrane.
