The Hallmarks - I know Why(1966).*****

Rocky & The Riddlers - Flash & Crash(1966).

It’s the excitement of a moment, maybe two. That’s why it works especially for a 45 RPM, often with misspelled titles and names on the masters and labels of the vinyl. Further confirmation of a carelessness that dominated all phases of the process. For many others, it won’t work at all, stopping at the limited space and finances of a demo tape, a reel, a cassette.”

Pink Floyd • Sheep

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away,
only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air.
You better watch out, there may be dogs about.
I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen, things are not what they seem.

What do you get for pretending the dangers not real.
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
down well trodden corridors, into the valley of steel.
What a surprise! A look of terminal shock in your eyes.
Now things are really what they seem. No, this is no bad dream.

[More Punk Than Punk. You're nearly a laugh, but you're really a cry. This is a Bad Dream]

The Wailers "Hang Up"

The Essential Albums: “OUT OF OUR TREE” (c)

“Hang Up and Out of OUR Tree are meant from the very beginning to lay the foundations of punk sounds, particularly thanks to an absolutely devastating use of the Sun Buzz. A totem for the rawest and most abrasive garage bands twenty years later. If it had all been at that level, we would be here discussing the definitive garage-rock album… unfortunately it isn’t. Because often the desire to sell outweighs the desire to take risks. Ending up alternating screams of fear with yawns of boredom.”

Reigning Sound "If You Can't Give Me Everything" ('Home for Orphans' version)

Besides Mick Collins, another beautiful bastard Devil-Wizard of the genre is Greg - Oblivians - Cartwright. Legendary with the Oblivians, immense with the Compulsive Gamblers, and superb with this magnificent creation of his.

The third album, wrapped in a fiery red cover and bearing a highly evocative title, is a masterpiece. R&B, Soul, Country, Gospel, but all packed, showcased, and sprinkled with that sensible and crooked Rock'n'Roll style of the Oblivians: perfect!

@[sfascia carrozze]: good morning! New single from the band of the Tardy brothers and an album coming out in January. A track that I found all too predictable, with a "light" opening guitar riff, almost pop-like as you would probably say yourself. Repetitive, lacking a sharp edge, and without even a hint of acceleration. The only positive things are John’s voice, always cavernous and raw, and the brief guitar solo that reminded me of something from the early works of Obituary. Greetings from high Piemonte...
