De Andrè, Guccini, Gaber, Battisti, Jannacci, De Gregori, Bennato, Venditti, Battiato, Baglioni, Graziani, Fortis, Daniele, Finardi, Conte, Branduardi, Vecchioni, Fossati, Lolli, Dalla, Gaetano, Zero, etc., but also the more recent ones (for me, obviously) Vasco Rossi, Ligabue, Zucchero, Nannini, Carboni, Concato, Caputo, Elio e le Storie Tese, 883, Gazzè, Silvestri, Fabi, Caparezza, Capossela, etc.: as you might have guessed, my favorite music genre is that of Italian singer-songwriters, although I do not disdain other foreign artists, especially groups. After a long period spent freeloading on Debasio, the editors "kindly invited" me (read: forced me) to register. And here I am (otherwise I would have kept freeloading forever). Now that I’m here, I will try to make an effort, but I don’t promise anything. A joyful greeting to all the Debasio users, no exceptions.

    To revive the glory (and the food) of your dazzling advertising column (#eadessolapubblicità, I believe it’s called, very dazzling...) why not take advantage of @[zappp]'s idea of pairing two songs with an "impossible connection"?
    I suggest a combination that, besides conveying the idea, seems very refined to me.

      No, absolutely not. They are two of my other favorites (let's say they are included in the etc.), but unlike the others, I've always had difficulty finding their records. I like to listen to music on physical media (I have a pretty vast collection of CDs) rather than on the Tube: I'm vintage, what can I say?

I think the editors are still pulling their hair out for forcing me to register: but it's their fault since they went looking for it, so whoever is the cause of their troubles should weep for themselves!!! Here are the bands (and also non-bands) that I enjoy outside of Italy, in no particular order: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Who, AC/DC, U2, Simple Minds, Madness, Bee Gees, Abba, R.E.M., Doors, Black Sabbath, Clash, Aerosmith, Cranberries, Ramones, Jethro Tull, Bon Jovi, Oasis, Blink-182, Green Day, Police, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Elton John, Leonard Cohen, Cat Stevens, Prince, Sting, etc. (I'm sure I've forgotten someone). Additionally, I really like (even though I can't claim to be a complete expert) many prog bands, both Italian and foreign: Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Le Orme, Rovescio della Medaglia, Area (even though the latter can't definitely be defined as just prog), Napoli Centrale, King Crimson, Genesis, ELP, Yes, Gentle Giant, etc. (I'll probably forget someone here too). I know, I'm too mainstream. But in the end, who isn't (at least a little) mainstream?
