And so, by popular demand
"...when in life you thought you had heard it all" THE SERIES!
klaus beyer - eleanor rigby
Now, despite the efforts and tireless commitment I generously put forth to maintain the level of this site at a certain *height*, I must - much to my chagrin - acknowledge how often such work is belittled by the constant loitering of individuals of low (and often very low...) intellectual caliber and even lesser musical competence on these virtual shores, and I do not wish to name names...
Well, I can already imagine some of these "characters" dismissing this album as a "simple" cover (which, by the way, is rather poorly executed) of the Beatles, as there are many...
BUT NO!
There is moooolto more here! Klaus Beyer does not reinterpret the Beatles: HE REINVENTS THEM!
He started in the '80s by translating their songs to make them understandable for his mother, then began using two reel-to-reel tape recorders to cut non-vocal loops from the band's music to use as backing tapes for his German versions. In Germany, he is a bit of a legend, having been introduced to the "scene" of "Geniale Dilletanten" alongside people like Die Tödliche Doris, Einstürzende Neubauten, Frieder Butzmann, etc., with some of whom he has even shared the stage.
He is still active today, primarily with concerts.

Faust'ò - godi I wonder why #radius didn't want it for himself.

Mary Weiss With The Reigning Sound Dangerous Game LP 2007

It doesn't matter what music you like…

Lucio Battisti - Una giornata uggiosa (Still/Pseudo Video) Assisi, June 3, 2023. What bad weather even in this month. What... a gloomy day!!!

@[sfascia carrozze] new single by Godflesh, waiting for the upcoming album "Nero." It grabbed me from the first listen, especially Justin's "effected" and utterly sick vocals. Sounds, as always, colossal, repetitive, icy, detached... we’ll likely come out of it dazed... Godflesh - Land Lord

Motorpsycho - Drug Thing
So much love for Motorpsycho

Propaganda - A Secret Wish (Vinyl) Part 2 (HQ)

and so we listened to it all over again and, um, it was really worth it...

Synchronicity II
Ooooooh!! La nonna sta urlando al muro!!

Well You Needn't
Epistrophy

[John Lurie _ Thelonious Monk]

The Church - No Other You (Official)
@[De...Marga...] They are not our beloved Church from Starfish, Gold Afternoon Fix, The Blurred Crusade, or Heyday, but I still don't mind them. Perhaps it's because Kilbey moves me even when he reads the phone book!

Mortacciloro

History is cyclical because man is always the same; millennia pass, but the refrain never changes. Once I saw a tough guy tell another, "I'll take you out in four moves." I appreciated the placebo effect as well as the relaxed and refined tone of his voice. Because life is made of small things, and it's only when you remove the latch that if you can't find beauty, at least you find an apparent sense.
