#spaghetti (10) Sergio Leone - For a Few Dollars More (1965) For A Few Dollars More (Theme by Ennio Morricone)

The second film in the Dollar Trilogy. This time the cast includes, among others, Lee Van Cleef and Klaus Kinski. Playing the lion's role is Gian Maria Volonté, completely deranged in a grand interpretation that far surpasses that of the first film. A masterpiece.

Music by Ennio Morricone, of course.

Deep Purple-Smooth Dancer
Who do we think we are, fourth and last LP Mark 2. Gillan and Blackmore haven't spoken for a year, Gillan leaves, and Glover is fired. The album gets criticized; I like it even if it's not on the level of In Rock or Machine Head.

Niccolò Fabi - Una Somma Di Piccole Cose
Freshly awarded the Targa Tenco for best album of the year, Fabi's record is truly a little gem. Indie Folk in the style of Bon Iver and Iron & Wine, elegant pop like Sufjan Stevens.

Family Willow Tree (Live) #FamilyWeek I've always liked albums that are part studio/part live like Fandango by ZZ Top, Wheels of Fire by Cream, Blue Matter by Savoy Brown... this one is no exception for me. It may not be the best that the band has offered in their career, but this song has always struck me for the soul that Chapman puts into interpreting it, what a voice, what soul...
