Stunning and historic album, for me the best of the '90s.
I agree with everything written in the review.
And a beautiful concert in Monza.....great Radiohead.

I really like this album a lot, definitely more than Dirty (personal opinion). My favorite still remains Daydream Nation.

Beautiful album, great duo. Being boring is my absolute favorite song.... I even wrote a review about it a few years ago right here on DeBaser.

With the second "The sophtware slump" they delivered a masterpiece. An interesting group, I'm curious to listen to the new album soon, about a decade after the last one...

Among my favorite bands, I’ve followed them since ’98 when I discovered them on MTV with "If you tolerate...". What more could you want from the Manics? Maybe another tour to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of "This is my truth tell me yours," which for me is their best album and the one I feel most connected to (although they have released several other remarkable ones - Everything Must Go, The Holy Bible, Generation Terrorists, among others, and even the penultimate Rewind the Film, much more calm and reflective, is beautiful). Futurology is something different and coincides exactly with what you described. I had the opportunity to see the Manics live in Prague in 2014, just a few months before the release of "Futurology"..... let’s hope they can return for a nice full concert in Italy too, almost 20 years since the last one, but I see it as very tough....... here, in terms of musical culture, we’ve been adrift for a long time, and I believe they have been selling poorly here since the beginning of the new millennium....

In my top 3, there's definitely "Blackstar" by the great Bowie, but I think I'll put the immense "Night Thoughts" by Suede in first place. If you don't know the album, I absolutely recommend you check it out and give it a listen... it's truly a beautiful record, a must-listen.
In third place on the podium, to include some Italian, I place "Lunga attesa" by Marlene Kuntz.
(Adding some other new albums I've had the chance to listen to over the year, I would definitely include the aforementioned Radiohead, "Strange Little Birds" by Garbage, "Super" by Pet Shop Boys, and "These People" by Richard Ashcroft - I must mention that I grew up with '90s music, and being a little over 30 with limited time available, I'm not very familiar with new singers and the latest (various) musical trends.)

Very original review, well done! It perfectly describes what can be found in this beautiful album, a milestone and fundamental for much music that would follow.
A great and historic band, this is one of their best albums. Unfortunately, I never had the luck to see the band live, but I did have the opportunity to attend a couple of concerts by Peter Hook (2014 and 2015), and in the first one, he played the first two albums of the band in full (Movement and this one). That unforgettable and unmistakable bass.....anyway, the three tracks I prefer from the work are Age of Consent, Your Silent Face, and Leave Me Alone.

Beautiful piece and beautiful album.
For me, Night Thoughts could very well be the album of the year: impeccable, top-level from start to finish. Absolutely a must-listen.
Perhaps their best album along with Dog Man Star (the same can be said for Bloodsports, the first album post-reunion from 2013).

The latest "Bloodsports" was a grand return, a truly beautiful album that I recommend to everyone. This "Night Thoughts" is also a great album, very well crafted. Well done, Suede!
