This single by Opus III is so beautiful, one of the singers rarely mentioned since the 2000s and left in the dreadful abyss of the '90s.
"It's A Fine Day" is practically equivalent to "Porcelain" by Moby. The fabric is a classic of ambient, which is that electronics influenced by the bouncing piano of Chicago House. Opus's sublime vocal modulations come from the school of Cocteau and Everything But The Girl, there's no doubt, but the freshness found in these three minutes is disarming.
You travel on a cloud of a spring sky. The wind slowly moves the branches of the trees, the sunset comes alive, and the calm mixed with silence and peace charms us more and more.
"Evolution Rush" is the other track paired with this 1992 gem, where we find a sound jungle seasoned with ancestral sounds, divine voice, and other wonders.
But obviously, the highlight is "It's A Fine Day." The ethereal synth intro, so dear to people like 808 State of "Pacific State," immediately presents the girl's voice. The video shows her as a mystical presence, a siren, a muse that has come to Earth and is ready to leave us after persuading us with her harmony.
