Beautiful list, I love it when there are such a variety of genres :)

Thank you... but let's say it's very provisional... the top spots are constantly changing, the order is relative... let's say that at the moment the top 4/5 positions are on equal footing, considering that I need to give some albums (I'm thinking of La Dispute's) a better listen. Anyway, it's nice to have an open ear to everything, which I notice applies to you too!

I don't understand why many people look down on Vasco Brondi... the new album is a great album, absolutely different from the previous ones...

Because it tends to have some populist hints... but then the difference is also made by the songs... it has constellations and it has the ideas... I don't know if I'll be able to say the same when and if I listen to Dente's... for example, that one of "non voglio che Clara" doesn't completely convince me, even though it has two or three super hits!

I Lantlos! How much I like them :D

I had only heard of them by name… let’s say that the time I was supposed to dedicate to listening to the latest from Alcest, I instead devoted to them, and I think I did well!

The More Than Life first? The Black Keys are now finished and buried, an album of deadly boredom, and Coldplay...well, I won't comment :D

Yes, that album intrigued me from the first listen, even though it only climbed to its current top position after several more listens! For the other two, I’ve placed them in a rough order, let’s say they’re still in the listening phase. Rather than doing two separate lists for best/worst, I’ll make one with all of them, making the necessary distinctions!

Can you believe I haven't heard a single one? And I don't even know who many of them are! They intrigue me. I don't want Clara and Mogwai, maybe because I've never heard one of their albums and I've always heard good things about them. I'd gladly spare myself from Lumi and the Black Keys, for example...

As I've written elsewhere, I'm gradually adding all the albums I listen to, also as a personal reminder; clearly, not all of them are from this year, even those listed at the bottom! Mogwai was also my first listening experience with them, but I think you should start with Mr. Beast, which is perhaps the best of the five I know, and then maybe give this one a listen too. Non Voglio Che Clara could spark unconditional love if you indulge in what they offer. For the "heavy" department, I recommend ringing the bell at 1.

Have you heard the Wild Beasts? Did you like them?

I had ranked them...but then I removed them...I still need to give a thorough judgment, although at first listen, I didn't feel much excitement...

And you haven't included Agalloch? I also recommend the new project by Les Claypool called Duo De Twang: bluegrass-country played in a jovial manner...

Damn... I think I haven't put them on yet... but I've listened to the album twice and so far I don't feel the need to listen to it again... maybe it's just not the right time for these sounds!

Until the first, I was also in agreement hahaha. Jokes aside, if you like Tycho, take a look at DeMeeting.

I love Tycho, I discovered him thanks to a user who reviewed him here... and all the albums are great.. actually, I think I will talk about him again on these pages sooner or later! I saw the meeting, unfortunately I live far away :(

Not bad the Nothing, a really interesting shoegaze band. They resemble Whirr (who are releasing a new album in September)... I had missed them for some reason :P

Yes, Interpol snubbed by almost everyone but I liked them. Nothing new, but done damn well.

I don't know the background, but I still don't understand all this snobbery towards them... I mean, this year the critics went crazy for other indie-rock bands that, I don't know, I'll stick with the Interpol!

      All my life Taurus :-)
If there was some kind of wave of innovation, I could understand it, but as you say, it hasn't been a particularly brilliant year.

I was thinking about The Horrors, acclaimed everywhere...all nice songs, all catchy, all pretty, all the same, but after a while, it gets boring...Interpol always maintain a certain elegance, and then there are also the songs.

Anyway, they have their distinctive trait. Classy quotationism.

Yes Taurus, I only save the first album of Editors in the end.
