With Kazuko Okakura's recipe in O' Zenn and the tea ceremony:

"The splendor of midday illuminates the bamboos,

    the springs gurgle joyfully,

and in our teapot resounds the murmuring of the pines.

Let us surrender to the dream of the ephemeral,

let us be carried away by the marvelous absurdity of things."

    Hello, Cumpà!!

Good evening, my friend. When it comes to artisanal ice cream, I love the classic flavors like banana, strawberry, and lemon. However, if we are talking about the packaged kind, I also enjoy a nice chocolate-covered ice cream with hazelnut sprinkles and a cherry filling.

Hey Marì, here in Vnez we can't complain, even with this hot/cold weather all year round...

At noon, my sweet cousin made me a "crudaiola," or rather, pasta with fresh tomatoes, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, chili, and raw basil on top of the penne (that in the pantry we only have tons and tons of spaghetti and penne, damn those supermarkets), and for dessert a cup of baked apples with zest and lemon and acacia honey that I cooked the other night and left in the fridge.

      19 jul 20
But you guys made me hungry, fortunately dinner is in a little while so I'm going to make some dumplings, what about you guys tonight?
    • Marin
      19 jul 20
@[Stanlio] Anyway, such a climate is really ideal, neither too hot nor too cold.

Tonight I found myself at my in-laws visiting some friends from Marrucchini (who live in Vercelli), my wife’s brother and as usual they laid the table with all kinds of things they like: a basket of pistachios, a basket of almonds, a basket of hazelnuts, small plates and peach jam, butter, honey, breadsticks and fresh bread (bought at Lidl this morning), cheese, and liters of mint tea, the kind we grow in the garden, boiled eggs with salt and cumin. We had a feast just now; it was me, my wife, her sister, my wife’s brother named Mohammed, his mother and Mohammed, his wife and Mohammed, the little son of Mohammed, and the seven-month-old son of Mohammed, and Mohammed's grandson... and now I feel like I'm going to burst! Let's see if later I get the urge to eat a little something before going to rest... what can I do?
    • Stanlio
      19 jul 20
I almost forgot that I was even talking about the big kids and Mohammed... now it seems I’ve named everyone.

@[Stanlio] But does your friend from Morocco keep the calendar permanently stuck on New Year's Eve?
    • Stanlio
      19 jul 20
Hey, Mar' so you really got it right for when you all sit at the table, it’s a party, we’re not joking, something else compared to capd'ann and capd'ann... and to be honest, I’m like legs and horses when they sit down to eat...
    • Stanlio
      20 jul 20
Now I’ll add it to the group of sardines, thanks a lot, buddy!

Hey buddy, if you have time and want to study, you can have a bit of fun with the new entry called: werom.

    • Marin
      16 jun 20
Hey buddy, right now I just finished and I'm eating a nice plate of potatoes. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll recover by the end of the week because tomorrow I have my second-to-last exam.

Hey Marì, since that fool @[Enioilpapadibra] already hates me without me having said anything to him yet, I'll respond here: have you ever seen that they're all a bunch of idiots because of the coronavirus, these four little idiots... who lately are being inflated like dirigibles as if they were zeppelins without a leak?

    • Marin
      13 jun 20
I thought that @[Enioilpapadibra] could do something to entertain a bit, instead of just talking about the usual stuff.
    • Stanlio
      13 jun 20
nooo but when ever, it makes you feel good but they really are breaking it, there are no more comedians like Totò or Peppì, they’ve lost their touch, now there are only these four ageless kids who stopped at elementary school...
    • Marin
      13 jun 20
Maybe in elementary school, buddy, this is how he was formed in the food industry.
    • Falloppio
      13 jun 20
      Stanley, aren't you Venetian anymore?
    • Stanlio
      13 jun 20
And what I know is still very dear to me, my Fallyboy, there would be more to say, but with Marin we exchange socio-philosophical opinions in Neapolitan dialect also to not be understood by you poentoni...
    • Marin
      15 jun 20
Dude, but why is the Mexican polenta bothering you?
    • Stanlio
      15 jun 20
Hi beautiful, annoying annoying no, but it's wasting my precious time here while I'm working for the Ministry of Economy & Finance, you understand me...
    • Marin
      15 jun 20
Wow, that's quite a piece of meat.
    • Stanlio
      15 jun 20
Don't come like Fallopp' who has his own research and is really making an effort in the mountains; I'm a little piece among the protocol, the correspondence, the central office, and the concierge... you got me now? it's not that I'm doing more than just sweating to write all this stuff... have some consideration for me, brother...
    • Stanlio
      15 jun 20
      *don’t ask me anymore... etc.
    • Falloppio
      15 jun 20
Big in name and in fact.. ahahahah
    • Stanlio
      15 jun 20
you understood' @[Marin] it’s called Falloppione...
    • Marin
      15 jun 20
@[Stanlio] Anyway, over there at the ministry, they have some coccos left, ehm... and sord? I actually need them.
    • Marin
      15 jun 20
@[Stanlio] why did you put the bru in piece ruoss. Piece ruoss means important person.
    • Stanlio
      15 jun 20
Aaah, but do you want to mess around? Do you know or not that they’re hunting for money here from morning till night, every day, since they’ve instituted lotteries, scratch-offs, and those who have more put in... that money doesn’t come out but they want to take it anyway, and don’t make me laugh because I just finished eating...
    • Stanlio
      15 jun 20
because I'm not at all red outside or inside the ministry... I'm as beautiful as Edward for his soul...
  • Stanlio
    31 may 20
I was amazed to have eaten half a chicken in a pot with potatoes, three slices of eggplant, made a juice of red pomegranate, apricots, and cherries.

    • Stanlio
      31 may 20
Excuse me, but what is this lumberjack?
    • Stanlio
      31 may 20
      ah, pen with good mushrooms!
    • Marin
      4 jun 20
@[Stanlio] Buddy, today gnocchi and potatoes with tomato sauce, are you coming to Venice?
    • Stanlio
      4 jun 20
But you should see the situation today while I was on a break from my daily grind, I was thinking while savoring the fish fry with tomato on top and a mixed salad with capers...
    • Marin
      6 jun 20
@[Stanlio] Oh, buddy, today I’m just struggling with these two traders for a specific reason. But why in Venice does this tarantella happen?
    • Stanlio
      6 jun 20
But Marì, you truly amaze me; don’t you know that here in Venice there are merchants who rip off customers with prices marked up by five hundred percent...?
    • Marin
      7 jun 20
These merchants, with these prices, are making real holes in the wallet.
    • Stanlio
      7 jun 20
Even if I don't understand... is it true?
    • Marin
      7 jun 20
      it's normal
    • Marin
      7 jun 20
@[Stanlio] anyway, even if the pull is good in the pocket
    • Marin
      9 jun 20
@[Stanlio] I'm starting to really freak out, is it already the sea time?
    • Stanlio
      9 jun 20
Aviv' begins well but now I've filled my clothes and it's been three days that it rains...
    • Marin
      9 jun 20
Let's hope that they don't make it as hot as 60 degrees.
    • Marin
      9 jun 20
Anyway, addu me s sentn semp abulanz a naz a ret stu virus a rutt proprio e commschiamm.
    • Stanlio
      9 jun 20
The only good thing at 60° is that distilled stuff, you get me, kid...

Here, the virus seems to be thanking San Genn... uh, I mean, San Marc', because there are still people with hard heads who don't want to comply with the minimum rules to keep COVID away, and so they’re inflating their complaints like balloons...
    • Marin
      15 jun 20
Yesterday I had some beautiful spaghetti with clams, who knows what awaits me today, let’s hope it’s not broccoli. You?
    • Stanlio
      15 jun 20
Yesterday I can't remember what I ate and what I forgot, but today I opened the fridge and bought something that caught my eye, I stuffed a little mozzarella in a container, some cherry tomatoes in a little jar, anchovies under oil, and two slices of melon... ah, and four packets of crackers... plus a banana that who knows...
    • Marin
      15 jun 20
Well, this is a picnic, not a lunch. Anyway, buddy, be a bit careful; eating is nice, but don't overdo it.
