2009, American astronaut Jeff Hale is involved in an accident aboard a shuttle orbiting in space. He did not survive the accident, yet he wakes up in a floating sack on the banks of a river and appears mysteriously rejuvenated. In the sky shine two suns and three moons, and soon Jeff realizes he is not alone: hundreds of people emerge from the waters of the river.
