And so, at great request
"...when in life you thought you'd heard it all" THE SERIES!
Sam Sacks - Yodel Blues
And here it is, THE FANTASTIC WORLD OF TONE-DEAF SINGERS!
At the beginning there were Florence Foster Jenkins and Mrs. Miller, and after them, nothing was ever the same.
Especially the incredible success of Mrs. Miller gave rise to an underground world that no one even suspected existed: Johnny "Bowtie" Barstow, Anna-Lisa Ingemansson, Shooby Taylor, Bingo Gazingo, Neil Dick, Sam Chalpin... and so many others, all the way to Leona Anderson, the zero point of vocal possibilities in music, the absolute genius of non-singing (after all, her album is titled "Music to Suffer By"...)!
All different, each with their own peculiar style, a personal story, and a specific talent (because even being tone-deaf requires a certain skill).
A universe that I will - sooner or later - address with the due attention and space (you have been warned); perhaps with a series of tailored listening sessions...
For now - as an appetizer - here is Sam Sacks!
And with Sam, we will wrap up this series of listens for now; not because there aren't many other oddities to hear! But because - I'm afraid - I have overloaded your poor, weak, and sparse neurons... You need time to absorb such novelties and understand their genius.

The Detroit Cobras Bad Girl Mink Rat or Rabbit

Once again, Greg Cartwright with the finest cover band from Michigan and beyond, I believe,
the beautiful Rachele has been gone for a year and a half...

Reigning Sound "Baby, It's Too Late"

The beauty and the drama of Cartwright Greg and his Reigning Sound is that - after the first two being kind of okay - every album is stunning. The beauty and the drama together is that Shattered for us old folks (once you're over 40, you’re old, get over it) is a concentrate of emotions, memories of urges and adventures from times gone by… beautiful, moving, and ruthless. Not garage, but a mix of R&B, Soul, and Sixties Beat that will make you cry with joy… trust me, we’ll take out the Reverend here…

Things Have Changed + Lyrics
the umpteenth cover - always beautiful - everyone loves this song, and don't you find it sublime?

Armani Caesar - SURVIVIAL OF THE LITTEST [Official Video]

Turned my closet room to a business, so fire
Come cold like I walk around with low iron ("eroinomane da vari anni")
Pussy grip dick like snow tires
Complex's best verse, ain't use no writer
I'll put the heater to your ear like a blow dryer
For me it's easy like freak bitches
The bars I spit hard, if it gets bitten
Bitches' teeth chippin'
I use them to keep my pen sharpened
From fake I'm so parted
The realest smell me like old garbage
Griselda: we the realest niggas in it
I just want it for a couple years then I'm finished
Just to show you how a rap, Bitch 'posed to did it
716, it's survival of the littest

Not Minaj, but still Pussy grip dick like Snow Tires.

Roberto Vecchioni - Vaudeville (Ultimo mondo cannibale) @[withor] another one came to my mind... #justsoyouknow
