Housesoftheholycontinua... We were saying that 1972 is the most serene and happy year for them; everything is perfect, they have everything on their side. They recorded a varied and carefree album in a short time, after the previous four and especially the American tours had established them as the greatest rock'n'roll band in circulation. The critics, of course, continued to ignore their success, and in England, they didn't even write about their epic tours, only talking about the Stones, who in comparison were now seen as skilled and disciplined (actually, they were getting arrested for various reasons, but that doesn't matter; the important thing was to avoid considering or belittling those four and their manager who, "arrogant and flashy," were conquering the world).

14 years ago, Pierangelo Bertoli, the storyteller from Sassuolo, the artisan of song, passed away. Socially engaged, his anger unleashed a desire for revenge that still lingers in the air today. Marked by his being paraplegic and endowed with great courage, he was unjustly sidelined by the world of Italian music. It was 2002, yet the wind still blows.

Yesterday in Milan for work, I was struck by a musical omnivorism. Finding nothing new that convinced me on the shelves, I fell back, as often happens, on the offers. Here's a musical centrifuge of what I eagerly gathered, including two in editions with bonus tracks. In order, for a total of less than 30 filthy bucks: Sepultura - Ratamahatta Van Morrison - Moondance Van Morrison - Moondance James Brown Live At The Apollo 1962 FULL Velvet Underground VU
