The Doors - Soul Kitchen
"Jim Morrison & The Doors on the road" (2)
During the Venice period, before moving in with Ray and Dorothy, Jim found abundant and very cheap meals at Olivia's, a tiny and shabby restaurant. Morrison used to pray to be allowed to stay, even after closing, in its warm and welcoming kitchen instead of facing the nighttime Los Angeles with its "cars stuffed with eyes" and its "forests of neon lights." It was the song that Densmore listened to and that convinced him to join the band. The sound is indefinable or rather it is the "unique" sound of the Doors with a driving yet quirky rhythm from Ray's introduction to Robby's solo.
One of the songs I’m most attached to.

Your optimism depresses me; life is a tartare of meat.

then it happens that you really get pissed off. and you're there looking at him intubated and with a catheter...and this summer you were at the beach together joking around saying that we won’t even make it to retirement. damn it was true, we won’t spend another summer together. Giorgio Gaber - Teatro Canzone - Gildo - 04

Afternoon jam, with McLaughlin coming out of one amp and Carlos out of the other... in a chase, compensating, waiting for each other.. respectful and powerful, to then throw themselves into a challenge, daring in the subsequent elevated guitar-dueling. (Y)https://en.debaser.it/p/115116

And the future will know what to do with Verdi and Mozart, having Alphaville.

Since I first heard them here, I think it’s only fair you know this: A Sanremo gli scozzesi Biffy Clyro - Musica - ANSA.it

Jaki Liebezeit, the greatest rock drummer of all time, as the good lector assures us, I didn't know him (r.i.p.), I've never followed CAN and I probably missed something very energetic, but I knew Holger Czukay because I had listened several times to the excellent albums Plight & Premonition from 1988 and Flux + Mutability from 1989 where he shares the musical space with David Sylvian. Why all this preamble? It's simple, while I was listening to and watching this live to get a sense of the late drummer, I noticed that the charlatan in charge of compiling the musicians manages to write around 4:30 HOLGER SZUKAY... cursed be him!
Can - Paperhouse - Live, 1971 (Remastered)

Songs that really annoy me (5) Genesis - In Too Deep One of the most disheartening examples of the drift taken by the band at the time, when there was no longer any difference between them and the most terrifying whines of solo Collins. A piece that has absolutely nothing, except for its ability to irritate with its cloyingness.
