The Doors - Break On Through (To the Other Side)
"Jim Morrison & the Doors on the road" (1)
Released in January 1967 as the first official single. The lyrics come from the notebooks that Morrison filled during the Venice period of 1965. The song took shape during the early rehearsals with the idea of this catchy "bossa nova" groove by Densmore. The lyrics had to be modified because when Jim screamed "she gets high," Electra thought any reference to drugs could be harmful to sales. Perhaps it was the only time Morrison bowed to such a request; but we think that just a year prior they were making only a few dollars a day in the dirtiest of clubs.
A wonderful piece, for the beginning of the story and/or legend.

Dear @[Carlos], in my Cavriago there remains the gathering place for die-hards... my father was the roadie for the "big head," as he called it, when he was alive... thinking that the original bust is in the section of the pd or of rifondazione makes me feel bad for him ahahah!

Songs that really annoy me (4) Dire Straits - Walk Of Life + lyrics Madò that damn irritating little keyboard tara-taratarattattaraa... It could go unnoticed because there's surely better stuff on that album, yet I believe it's the main reason why "Brothers in Arms" will keep collecting dust...

A piece that will pave the way for the music that (I hope) will bury us in the coming years.
