The Doors - Hello, I Love You
"Jim Morrison & The Doors on the road" (20)
Huge and multiple difficulties in recording the third album: incredible pressure from Elektra, Morrison in his Jimbo version not showing up for rehearsals with the others, lack of time, and especially "The Celebration Of The Lizard" that was left unfinished and was supposed to fill the entire second side. "Hello, I Love You" was dusted off from the first demo tape and, rearranged, became the second and last number one single. A pop track that takes a healthy wake-up call in the second part. One of the first lyric songs written by Jim before meeting Ray; it was the phrase said to a beautiful black girl he had seen at the beach.
