Since I am, 50% with my partner, author-director-performer of "psychedelic" theatre shows, and since we will be performing one of our shows on Saturday night, and since I consider DeB a bit like a happy island, I hope you’ll forgive my audacity in posting the trailer for the show we’ll be doing on Saturday in the province of Pavia. Of course, if, for some strange interstellar conjunction, any of the DeBasici should attend, just give your battle name at the box office and you would receive a complimentary ticket.

The Doors - Runnin' Blue (Studio)
"Jim Morrison & The Doors on the road" (37)
A heartfelt tribute to Otis Redding, who passed away not long ago. A quirky and bizarre track. The beginning, just voice, is beautiful: "Pour Otis dead and bone." The song starts off energetic but then breaks into fairly goofy choruses with a country and/or bluegrass flavor, sung by Krieger himself with a not-so-great nasal voice. A remembrance of the great Otis, who at Monterey blew everyone away (even with a fabulous version of "Satisfaction") even more than the legendary Hendrix, just back from London.

Freewill - Rush The voice (perhaps) may not excite (?!), but the instrumentation is surprising. They and Marillion are excellent examples of post "golden age prog" art.
