The Seeds - No Escape

The Essential Albums: “THE SEEDS” b

“No Escape is, instead, the archetype of the Seeds’ sound. Hammering, hypnotic, obsessive, monotonous, and repetitive, supported by a ravenous sexuality and an entirely punk superficiality (try to focus on the very approximate beat of the tambourine and you’ll understand what I mean)”...

THE SEEDS -PUSHIN'TOO HARD

“Pushin to hard is a celebration of oneself, a copy of No Escape”

Now, let me tell you: if you can’t get off your lazy butt even with these clods, you’re really bound for the nursing home.

And now, excuse me, but I have to go or else the semolina in broth with the stars I have on the stove will stick.

Insecure, Me?

I said that after a very enjoyable outing we would return to the greatest creature (along with the Gories). The most interesting, varied, and enduring. So, going back to the encyclopedic double album, the first side (already listened to) was made up of original material, while the second featured majestic covers this time of all types: the usual beloved Black, tributes to contemporaneous brainless friends and colleagues, pop, and assorted knick-knacks in the style of Michelino.

Friends and fellow Garage fans, psychedelic, psycho(un)stable, angry and scornful, devoted to onanism and any precious vice that can satisfy our Noble primal instincts... let’s gather around this NeGro and do ourselves some good...

THE SEEDS can't seem to make you mine

The Essential Albums: “THE SEEDS”

“… the Seeds, the new band of Ritchie Marsh, a slacker who arrived in Los Angeles from Salt Lake City... Ritchie (who has since rebranded himself as Sky Saxon), despite his obvious vocal and technical limitations, is chosen as bassist and singer... the track is actually an unconventional piece to open an album... a lazy beginning yet extraordinarily erotic, like a pair of underwear with a loose elastic. Hands that slowly but purposefully insinuate themselves toward the object of desire, the voice becoming an obscene setting of lovelove as the fingers grow eager to explore.”
