For years I've been wondering what the most beautiful Italian song is. Initially, I underestimated Emozioni; I thought that Lucio had written better ones. But for some time now, listening to the notes of this melody, the lyrics, the atmosphere... well, I'm starting to think that the most beautiful piece written in Italy is indeed Emozioni. And this music, as far as I'm concerned, can compete with the great American and English melodies, like Bob Dylan and the Beatles. Let's add to that the fact that the verses of the chorus have entered everyday lexicon. Lucio was this: a reference author capable of creating new melodies, unique, timeless, never copying anyone but rather being imitated. Thank you, Lucio. And thanks to Mogol as well, because these lyrics are existentially wonderful. You can call them, if you want, emotions...
