Soft Machine Bundles
Voto:
Like many others, I periodically listen to "Third" because of "Moon in June", without which...
Jazz (and fusion) are almost always self-indulgent.
Without vocals, it’s hard not to come across as cerebral and self-indulgent.
Mia Martini Il giorno dopo
Voto:
More than the cynical and treacherous fate, it was the many asshole and cowardly colleagues and industry insiders.

Trash. Nauseating..
Lucio Dalla Storie di casa mia
Voto:
Yes, "La casa in riva al mare" also had a great impact on me as a boy, even from a guitarist's point of view since I was learning, and even today I consider it the best on the album.
Saxon Denim and Leather
Voto:
I think the best legacy of Saxon is definitely "Strong Arm of the Law," and that this one isn't much to write home about.
I care about them a lot.
Chris Farlowe Stormy Monday - The Blues Years 1985-2008
Voto:
Chris would have deserved more.
Lucio Battisti Emozioni
Voto:
The favorite is "Anna", a masterful blend of music and lyrics representing an obsessive love. The arc of tension builds through the succession of verses, with a chorus that never quite arrives. And when it does, it’s surprising, disruptive, filled with powerless rage. The contributions from the future PFM are fabulous, the Jammond arpeggio and the desperate drum roll. One of Battisti’s least "Italian", most "Western" songs. It deserved greater recognition, both internationally and in the Italian hierarchy of what Lucio and his partner left to us all.
Lucio Dalla Come è profondo il mare
Voto:
Dalla's 1977/79 triad is deadly. Trying to rank them in order of preference is a feat—better to give up.
For me, this triad is the absolute pinnacle of Italian songwriting, even though the little man and his crew (whom I met, albeit superficially) really got on my nerves.
Lucio Battisti Umanamente Uomo: Il Sogno.
Voto:
Probably Battisti's best album.
Def Leppard Hysteria
Voto:
Yes, great album. The meticulousness combined with passion, the uniqueness acquired not thanks to innate talent, but precisely through dedication and personal interpretation of one's own idols.
But the album doesn’t seem to have been conceived just yesterday. Of course, it’s timeless, but it’s late eighties melodic metal. All that use of the Rockman for the guitar sounds, for example...
