TRIVIA: Mel Gibson tried every way possible to land the lead role in Terrence Malick's new film, a project he's been working on since 1978 called "Tree Of Life." Obviously, this would have been terrible news that until a few months ago seemed almost inevitable (Gibson had agreed to work for almost nothing just to be involved). Thank goodness Malick's genius prevailed over money (Gibson would have even participated in financing the film, which is crucial for a Malick film since it's never about Hollywood box office). Now, the main character is Brad Pitt. Release 2009. Mel Gibson makes Scottish people in skirts crap, or makes Scottish people in skirts crap on Scottish people with their skirts down. End of OT.
