I just want to remind the debaters that, 1. Renga in Timoria has never, ever been the creative core of the group 2. instead, it was Pedrini; indeed, one could say that the music and lyrics of Timoria are 90% Omar's 3. Omar may not be a great singer, he may not be a great guitarist, but, as demonstrated by the best production of Timoria, he is a very valid songwriter.

A review that deserved the editors' choice, it doesn’t seem difficult to read at all; on the contrary, it strikes me as well-written and presenting a finally non-diminutive picture of Sugar. The album, however, sometimes feels a bit like hot air, but all in all, it's better than the last Shake. Cuba libre, to me, evokes more a dream of California from the Dik Dik than a "flamenco divertissement."

I agree that "Spirito di Vino" is Zucchero's best album. The peak. The most mature work. Tense and inspired, evocative. I also agree with the judgment on "Pane e Sale," rarefied atmospheres that give you chills. I further agree with the other comments on the tracks. Less so on "Alleluja," which I see as a beautiful moment that closes the album in a different, very peculiar way. This work has nothing to do with what will follow; it's light-years away from the last, albeit decent, "Fly."

Indeed, it's not very clear...
What I meant to say is that after that masterpiece which is Sleep with Angels, similar peaks have not emerged again. I'm talking about peaks; there are good works, and Mirror Ball is among them. The only thing that somewhat "devalues" that album is the sound, which in my opinion is a bit careless, lacking... just opinions, anyway...

Excellent review. The best album by Timoria, although not the only one centered around the theme of travel. Unlike the subsequent "travel" albums, El topo grand hotel and Un aldo qualunque sul treno magico, and to some extent the same 2020, here Joe emerges with his head held high and the final outcome is still positive. The group will reevaluate its positions towards a pessimistic resolution that can only be solved with continuous escape.
