"Viaggio senza Vento" undoubtedly represents the pinnacle of the career of the Brescians Timoria (Diego Galeri on drums, Enrico Ghedi on keyboards, Illorca on bass, Omar Pedrini on guitars and occasionally vocals, Francesco Renga on vocals).
Released in 1993, this album is a concept album about growing up (a literary example, Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye) that tells the story of Joe (a tribute to Hendrix and his Hey Joe, Pedrini's favorite song), a remorseful drug addict who, through adventures and encounters, will become a "warrior" capable of facing life and its difficulties. But let's move on to the tracks:
Solo (pedrini)
This album is a masterpiece.
Listen to this album and then tell me what you think!
"I believe I am not exaggerating when I say it could be one of the best Italian works of the '90s."
"The Brescians, led by Omar Pedrini, came from a recent past filled with '80s-style romantic music; this album finds them grown and mature."
They know that if they don’t make it big now, things are unlikely to improve in the future.
Viaggio senza vento is steeped in literature, philosophy, and spirituality.
