Wow! Among the users of Debaser, we now also have a eunuch! Coppola's Dracula is, by the director's own admission, the adaptation of Stoker's book into the atmospheres of Le Fanu's Carmilla. The film's subtitle, if I remember correctly, is: "Love Never Dies." Stoker's Dracula didn't waste time on feelings like love, which instead happened with the Carmilla Millarca EccEcc of the Irish author.

@useless: In Coppola's Dracula, the main theme is Mina's perverse love for the Count. A topic that is not mentioned at all in Stoker's book (you have read the book, right?). I'd say that it is certainly not the most faithful version of the book. The most faithful one I've seen is Nosferatu with Klaus Kinski, which you have OBVIOUSLY not seen.
