"Oh my God, what a crappy site...shame on you...here a guy writes a review about an immense musical phenomenon, and it gets followed by a bunch of idiotic, childish, vulgar, and pointless comments. Music, especially this, does not deserve your lowly reactions at all. Fripp himself, seeing that in the presence of his art all that is said are astounding trivialities exchanged among virtual incompetents, would kick you in the ass and would have all my approval...go do something else, it's better...this is definitely the most childish and idiotic comment on the page."

I would start with A Senile Animal: direct bastard and pounded. One of their best and most accessible works. Then, if you like it, I would skip this and Nude With Boots, and go back to Bullhead: a mastodontic kick in the balls. If you enjoy that too, it’s time for Lysol: it has nothing to do with the previous two (which are already very different from each other), so you get an idea of how broad their range can be. If you like that as well, then it’s time for Ozma: in my opinion, the most challenging. If you survive, it means you can listen to all their albums without problems, which would be a real stroke of luck because if you like Melvins, you know that from A Senile Animal down, every album is a bullet that hits the target. If you don’t like Lysol and Bullhead, you might try staying in the Ipecac period (the last one and therefore NWB, the latter, Hostile Ambient Takeover (psychedelic), The Bootlicker (psychedelic) etc. etc.

I don’t like them, nor the review: avoid writing “in my opinion,” “according to me,” “from my point of view”: it’s your review, it’s obvious that it’s your view of the album. Don’t just describe how the album sounds (because you can’t really, not because you’re stupid, but because to understand how an album sounds you need to listen to it) instead, try to capture its emotional essence and convey it in your own words: "the piano is very present." Yes, okay, and so? The piano is present in metal and classical music, but you would agree that there’s a big difference between the two.
"Very beautiful the parts with strings and brass and the captivating atmospheres." The only thing that saves this phrase is that "captivating atmospheres" because the fact that you think the string parts are beautiful means nothing to us, who want to understand how the album sounds. Knowing that they are "captivating" can do justice to our curiosity.
In short, read a few reviews and try to understand what I'm suggesting: you don’t need to tell us what and how the album sounds; you need to TELL US the album, in your own words, not with a preset formula. Good luck.
