incredible album. I don't know how to explain it, it's a blend of genres, you can find everything from new wave to hard rock. the production is perfect, the twin guitars are developed meticulously. in my opinion, the best tracks are Jesus, In My Dream which feels like a shoegaze piece, and Providence, a masterpiece of chamber pop with the violin in the foreground.

It’s hard to believe that a few years ago those idiots at Rolling Stone ranked it as the best Italian album of all time. A ridiculous ranking anyway; at the top, there was even a Jovanotti album tossed in between one by Faber and one by Capossela.

Well, I don’t know, but in my opinion, there’s really an intention to promote a certain type of music, passing it off as quality stuff. I think that in the success of certain personalities, there’s also a part played by the fact that to some extent they are, so to speak, “pumped up” by the press...
