  • However, Bartholomeo, it seems to me that in such a cross-scoring muffarrocck-classification, the telluric rock-tectonic of Lady Gaga is missing. Eh.

I want to keep the satisfaction of putting her in only at the end of the year, in last place, and let her climb up the rankings one by one, leaving all the other bitter losers behind... Smart, right?!? ;)

  • Please keep me updated on how things are going because I don't want to miss the event!!

Haha you crack me up with this Maiden story! (no irony, really!)

Uh, the Hypnos 69 are back?! I might just give them a listen. And speaking of Belgians, since the latest Black Rebel Motorcycle Club doesn’t seem to excite you much (Vincenzino), what do you think of Black Box Revelation, Bartle?!

@Purpulan: yes, the Hypnos are back! By the way, Legacy seemed to me like a great old-school rock-prog album: if you decide to get into it, I'd say it's a nice listen. Black Box I listened to casually: not bad, but the vocals don’t drive me crazy. Every judgment, however, is postponed to a date to be determined. ;) By the way, I think it's time to update this ranking a bit...

Electric-Psychadelic-Progressive: but what are Iron Maiden doing? More metal-rock than them..!

Dear, these are youthful sins... rather, they are tricks from a rogue among jesters - former medalists (including the gentleman mentioned in the first comment on this ranking, who hasn't been seen around here for quite some time...). There's no need to make a big deal out of it! :)

Aaaah ... in the end, you liked HighOnFire too ;D
I thought instead you preferred the latest from Wizard, and if you didn’t rank QuestForFire, it means you haven’t really listened to them! Ola potente und competente Bartolo. Now I’m going to educate myself about Ufomammut ...

I'm enjoying Black Masses, but I still have to decide whether the sounds excite me or make me want to puke. And, above all, I have strong doubts about its longevity... I can't stand Quest for Fire: I had read some crazy raves about their first album, but then I didn't like it at all, so I refused to listen to the second one! :) Let's just say that the entire ranking is still being put together and will be confirmed only on 31/12. P.S.: give a listen to the new Titan. For me, it rocks! ;)

I reviewed the last Quest and I honestly believe it. Different from the first, very pinkfloydian, it might appeal to you. Is the Titan you have in the works cool? Took note ;D The more I listen to the Wizards, the more I like them. I might even try writing something for them and risk getting fired. Unless you do it, in which case I'll step aside.

I really like the Titan I have in my ranking, mainly because it satisfies my low instincts as a former medalist and current space rocker: basically, with every album they change their sound, and in this last one they seem like instrumental Iron Maiden with synthesizers! P.S.: I would NEVER dare to write about the Wizards!! :)

So I have to get them quickly. Being currently an unrepentant meDallaro in search of unusual contaminations of that kind.

Is the new one by Swans really that good? I've totally snubbed it, even though I'm a Gira fan!

Well! I have to say that I’m really enjoying it. However, I confess that I ranked it at the top mostly to boost its position in the site's overall ranking! ;)

The last of the Titan entered my ranking just in the nick of time, I listened to it and thought: "these sound like Iron Maiden doing prog," I come here and notice you say the same thing :) Great Album... but above all, I get it!!! :) The Wizards are now as punctual as taxes... in a tax haven though!!! Bartle needs to conspire against certain things that Blech likes, let's get organized! Various filth up, Mt Zion and MV down!!!

And put the hawkwind triad in the rankings, because if you didn’t like it or if you don’t think it’s "rankable," I’ll tell psycho right away and then he’ll decide whether to spank you or take away your weekly kinder egg!!!

@Panic: the new Titan is a metalhead dressed for his first communion: at times, it’s so over-the-top that it nearly reaches the sublime! I thought it would last me an afternoon, but I still put it on to do air guitar at ridiculous volume. Plus, it lets me listen to Maiden without having to admit I'm still listening to Maiden. I agree on the need to boycott the Blechassifica: all sorts of filth up your ass!!

@Agol: to find the overall ranking, you have two options: 1) click on the link found on the Home Page at the fourth bullet point at the bottom under the text "Yes! Some DeClassifications"; 2) follow the trails of "Emo-styler" (the hairspray for young emos who want their emo bangs resistant even to Hurricane Katrina) left by Blechannafumaria on the route that led him from Ondarock and Debasio.
