Yardbirds, Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & the Dominos, all in just between 1964 and 1970... It's a shame about the following 43 years. more
For a decade, from 1964 to 1974, perfect. Authors of at least 5 absolute masterpieces (4 even in a row) but generally only good albums for them in that first decade. Then the decline, and now it's been 35 years that they've been wallowing in shit and ridicule. Yet they remain among the greatest of all time, because when you line up albums like "Beggar's Banquet," "Let it Bleed," "Sticky Fingers," and "Exile on Main Street," you end up among "the gods" and you don’t move from there. more
Great bassist (and 12-string guitarist). Period. Affectionately glossing over his solo career and his band of mechanics. more
Except for the wonderful triptych "Yes Album," "Fragile," and "Close to the Edge" (which would have guaranteed them a lifetime score of 5), they never fully captivated me. Still a great band, though; even "Relayer," "Drama," and "Going for the One" are good works, but they can become a bit tiring in the long run. more
A streak of 5 albums (from "This Was" to "Thick as a Brick," one better than the other for me) in a row isn’t something just anyone can pull off. After a few ups and downs, at least in the second half of the '70s, they still managed to release some valid records. more
One of the greatest masterpieces of Technical Death Metal; the then-young Cynic gift us with an enveloping, dreamlike music that gazes into infinite space. And they do so through eight marvelous songs that lean towards progressive, played with an uncommon skill; a music that provides sensations of undeniable emotional impact... Chapeau... more
A career lasting just over five years; the wonders of 80s pop thanks to the caustic lyrics of Morrissey and the music of Marr, Rourke, and Joyce... "I'd like to drop my trousers to the Queen...........is dead." more
Oh Satan, have mercy on my long misery! more
Ol' '55, I Hope That I Don't Fall in Love with You, Martha... The 5 fits perfectly! more

Devastating noise blues, featuring the most unlikely of singers, a cross between M. Tyson, D. Yow, N. Cave, and a heroin-addicted gorilla. Fantastic------- Oxbow - Time, Gentlemen, Time  more
A Lord of Music...one of the very few; a reserved person, never over the top...and that sound, the sound of his guitar. more
Forgotten German thrash metal band among the oldest around, they definitely deserve a listen. more
Indispensable. more
"Damaged" blows the asses away and "My War" blows the uteruses. Anyway, one of my all-time favorite bands. more
Legendary, I have no words. The kings of heavy music. I've seen them live 5 times. I even get myself off thinking about them. more
