Alesana
It's impossible to mess up like that unintentionally. They do it on purpose, the only solution. more
Jeff Buckley -Grace
Shining pearl, for me one of the most beautiful albums of the decade. The Voice of Angels, with a disarming purity and beauty. more
Thin White Rope -The One That Got Away
The group is now adrift, the tension has reached explosive levels and the end is near; but before all this, in a cramped club in Ghent, Belgium, Thin White Rope gives us a double live performance of unimaginable greatness: two hours of full-on assaults, featuring covers of Can and Dylan, alongside their songs that merge desert-rock-psychedelia in feral beauty, with lysergic digressions into Music... right after, nothing... it’s over... what a shame. more
Bathory
The first Black wave with "Bathory," all the wickedness and malice contained in: "Under The Sign Of The Black Mark" and "The Return." The Viking of "Blood Fire Death," "Hammerheart," "Blood On Ice," and "Destroyer Of Worlds" (even though it's more of a fusion with Thrash from enjoyable albums like "Octagon" or "Requiem" and Viking). These are the best albums (in my opinion), historical and unrepeatable albums that describe BATHORY (especially "UTSOTBM"). more
The Good, The Bad And The Queen -The Good, The Bad And The Queen
Perhaps Albarn's best solo project to date, featuring Simonon from The Clash, Tong from The Verve, and afrobeat drummer Tony Allen: it results in a great album, which I shamefully underestimated upon release. more
Neurosis
The sound of the apocalypse, that's all. more

Lars von Trier
Yesterday I watched half an hour of Nymphomaniac, it makes me want to throw up. A director who keeps getting worse. more
Ed Sheeran
Seeing that what this being does is defined as 'folk rock' among other things makes me cringe. more
Panda Bear
"Person Pitch" was truly a great record, like taking the best of Brian Wilson (that was "Smile") and tearing it apart and reassembling it in a sea of loops, electronic beats, samples, and whatever else you can think of. Just like his parent group, Animal Collective, who have great albums [notably the ethno-folk-psych delirium of "Sung Tongs," an album of celestial beauty for me] but also abominable crap [the overhyped "Merriweather Post Pavilion," a half-baked mess in my opinion]. more
Takeshi Kitano
Outrage & Outrage Beyond, by his own, have the coolest plot (which doesn’t mean they are the best overall). Especially in the first one, there’s a wonderful tournament of screwing everyone. The second is much inferior, but immediately watching it after the first, you don't really pay much attention to it. N.B: watched in Italian, they must be crap, since they are always screaming. That’s probably why no one has paid attention to them here. more
OOIOO
"Taiga" is a gem. more
Fantastic Plastic Machine
"I've consumed 'The Fantastic Plastic Machine.' Also great is 'Luxury.'" more
Guitar Wolf
Best jappo punk group ever. Impossible to take seriously. Oh, and "Missile Me!" is the worst thing ever recorded (in a good way). JETTO GENELATION!!! more
Takeshi Kitano
A bit overrated. My favorite films of his are "Hana-Bi" and "L'Estate di Kikujiro." more
Charlie Chaplin
Among the greatest artists of the 20th century. more
Yasujiro Ozu
The ending of "Late Spring" is indeed one of the most moving I have ever seen. more
Elevate
With the CD Bronzee, they made their debut for Flower Shop Recordings of Robin Proper Sheppard in '94. Post punk? Noise rock? Math rock?.. Two beautiful albums to their name! Elevate - M'Statue
