Acqua E Sapone - Stadio

here it is, final like this...

Sonic Youth - Tunic (Song For Karen)
The Karen in the song is Karen Carpenter, and the fact that Kim Gordon sings a song dedicated to someone like Karen Carpenter says a lot...

Jaydee-Plastic Dreams HQ (Original Long Version)

And those who weren't on the dance floor still danced!!! Always for VDM

Madness - One Step Beyond

For all the VDM...

Adriano Celentano - Il tempo se ne va

Well... that was a bit of our True Italian. A bit mocked, a bit revered (I just saw Meloni and Salvini's post, well... 🤢🤮).
But some silly songs, even for the interpretation of the other true Italian Celentano, will always remain under the skin, at least for those of us who grew up with it.

L'italiano - Toto Cutugno Video Ufficiale
He’s gone, and with him a piece of Russia.

Iron Maiden - Alexander The Great

Dedicated to Alessandro!

Greenhornes - Gun for you (full album) HQ

In a remarkable time of “welcome back failures” - I admit I was no longer feeling it - I listened to, (re)discovered garage bands with true soul and blood, drawing from a diverse range of influences from beat to punk, from psychedelia to R&B - from power pop to folk, from rockabilly to mod, even soul and even hard rock. In short, the essence of rock 'n' roll from real beasts to the wild scream of “fuck your virtuoso and super-fast scales and your fucking 4 octave vocal range.” From 1990 onwards, with a few comebacks from old relics, savansadir.

Probably my FAVORITE “MODERN” GARAGE BAND.
Pick any album, or rather optimize because you have no money and get SEWED SOLES, a wonderful compilation…

Flamin' Groovies - The Girl Can't Help It ... beautiful cover with so many Tiramolla!!!

Lone Wolves - Eny Meany

In a remarkable period of "welcome back wankers" - I admit I had lost my touch - I listened to and (re)discovered garage bands with soul and blood that, as usual, draw from the most diverse influences, from beat to punk, from psychedelia to R&B - from power pop to folk, from rockabilly to mod, even soul and even hard rock. In short, the essence of rock and roll from true beasts to the wild scream of "fuck your virtuoso and lightning-fast scales and your bullshit 4-octave vocal range." From 1990 onwards, with some revivals of old relics, savansadir.

Still the Portnoy brothers, if I'm not mistaken, from a crazy album that seems to come from a psychohard band of the early seventies...

This album was released in 1985 and is the masterpiece of Alanis Obomsawin, a now ninety-year-old Canadian artist of Native American descent from the Abenaki tribe.

She is also a director, as well as an activist, and in her films, she highlights the conditions of Native Americans in defense of their rights. Moreover, she is also a musician and visual artist in addition to being a writer; in short, she is an eclectic woman who in a Renaissance era would definitely be considered a universal artist.

This album titled "Bush Lady" is a melange of Native folk music with experimental jazz and folk, characterized by her unique interpretation of the 7 tracks.

It remains the only LP made so far, but it is more than enough to earn a place of honor in the great book of music.

Regarding faith, Leonard Cohen said, "I know there's an eye that’s watching us all." (Uh, he certainly didn't mean just any Polyphemus...)

He also said other emblematic phrases like:

“There is no cure for love, but it is the only medicine for all ills.”

“I don’t consider myself a pessimist; I think a pessimist is someone who expects it to rain, whereas I already feel soaked to the bone.”

#chiaroscuro from "Bird on the wire":
Like a bird on a wire
Like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

Leonard Norman Cohen, at 82, already suffering for a long time from acute myeloblastic leukemia and heart problems, fell one night down the stairs of his home, resulting in an internal hemorrhage that complicated his health and led him to the afterlife and nothing...
