Sweet Kin

You're Dumb

During a remarkable period of “welcome back nonsense” - I admit I was no longer interested - I listened to and (re)discovered garage bands of true grit, with influences as varied as beat, punk, psychedelia, R&B - from power pop to folk, rockabilly to mod, even soul and even hard rock. In short, the essence of rock and roll from true beasts to the wild scream of “screw your virtuosic and ridiculously fast scales and your four-octave vocal range bullshit.” From 1990 onwards, with some revivals from old relics, savansadir.

Still from the first. Damn, there's so much on deb about these. A mini cult of psychopomps and more. A bit challenging this is said …

A band from the new millennium, very interesting that I didn’t know. The reverend recommends an album, which I’ll post later, but I also went to grab their debut (I have a weakness for debuts, you know). Their sound does indeed change over time while remaining within the genre. The debut is a stunning blues-garage-punk-lofi that’s wonderfully off-key and sick in a good way, one that should please the Noble @[Shitbeard]

In a remarkable period of "welcome back, pippe" - I admit I wasn’t feeling it anymore - I listened to, (re)discovered garage bands with soul and blood, featuring, as a rule, the most diverse influences from beat to punk, from psychedelia to R&B - from power pop to folk, from rockabilly to mod, even soul and even hard rock. In short, the essence of rock 'n' roll, from true beasts to the wild scream of “fuck your virtuosic and super-fast scales and your goddamn 4-octave vocal range.” Since 1990 and beyond, with some revival of old fossils, savansadir.

This spring, I had read about half of Anthony Kiedis's biography "Scar Tissue" from 2006, an honest and passionate autobiography (as the Amazon critic describes it), but then I put it down for various reasons and I still haven't felt like picking it up again...

#chiaroscuro Today I stumbled upon this photo from the '70s where you can see the legendary RHCP singer with his dad, whom he talks about in both good and bad ways, and where he looks more like a troublemaker than his son, and nothing, ça va sans dire ça va.
