New Order - Denial (1981) An album that still smells of "Closer" and has a very particular sound from the six strings... a kind of electro-synthetic classical guitar. Great job guys! (How sweet is Gillian Gilbert?!)

Section 25 - Friendly Fires Martin Hannett and his sonic panzer production. Beloved by Ian Curtis, to the point that he produced their single "Girls Don't Count." They also appear in the famous post-punk compilation from Factory, with the heroin-infused dub of the beautiful "Dirty Disco." And finally, a seminal hit with "Looking From A Hilltop" (New Order... you know it, right?!). In "Friendly Fires," we can calmly understand both their flair and Martin's: the Section are excellent at crafting the present and future (notice anything reminiscent of the early rough works of Jesus & Mary Chain / MBV...?!) and Martin's mind, years ahead, assembling it all (the reverb of the "electronic blandness" in the last verse is exactly what was needed).

I just learned about the death of Robert Fisher that occurred in February; in my opinion, he was a great The Visitor - Willard Grant Conspiracy

I'm not crazy about summer. But sitting on the terrace in the evening, after a long day at work, maybe with a bottle of Belgian beer and good music playing in the background, is priceless... Cowboys please be with me feat Duane Allman

Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - The Message

and nothing, I don't remember which song they ended up connecting it to:
Don't push me cause I'm close to the edge
I'm trying not to lose my head
It's like a jungle sometimes
It makes me wonder how I keep from goin' under
