Rockets - On the Road Again (1978, Original Video)

Dear @[G], here’s another DeAscolto that perfectly matches all the regulatory elements required:

-) The original seems indeed unknown to most
-) The original did not enrich its authors (of the original), perhaps because #maybe they are all dead by now
-) The cover is much more than moderately well-known
-) The cover has brought in several billions of francs to the (new) performing group.
-) The story to tell is this:

It may sound strange, but this original was conceived exactly at the moment the primordial spark started that first divided Pantalassa and Pangea.
Since then, they (Pantalassa and Pangea) have not crossed paths even at a traffic light because it hadn’t been invented yet.
#maybe at the end of the round dance, one day they will meet again, touching from the other side over there.
For now, it is not known.
Anyway, I will keep an eye on the happenings and will inform you before you know it.

08 - sono contento di voi - Alberto Fortis (1979)
I know nothing about Italian music, but Fortis' first album is etched in me... melancholic bliss and joyful sadness. Beautiful songs, not just the most famous ones... like this one.

Gregg Rolie - I Will Get To You (LYRICS) Great album by the Journey keyboardist featuring Santana and Colaiuta as special guests!

Ligabue - A che ora è la fine del mondo? (Official Video)
#iladri
Another vomit - However, I don't think (I hope) it was more successful than the original.

It's not a real theft, but maybe a little bit yes.

HOT TUNA - Funky #7 LIVE '78
allow me a encore....

Genesis (Live)
and it won't be the only one from this album that I'll post!

Al Green-Take Me To The River.

Take Me To The River - Talking Heads

@[G] What do you think, are the scalding oatmeal flakes that burn your naked body in the shower enough to define him as "poor Al Green"?

The Feelies - Everybody's Got Something To Hide (Except Me and My Monkey)

@[sfascia carrozze] I’m giving you the Bitols, keep them all.
*This one* is better.

Calexico - Alone again, or.. - Live HQ

Sometimes #iladri do not make you miss the originals
#maybe

Candy Claws - New Forest (Five Heads of the Sun) Come on, someone write us a nice review because I can't do it.

Vasco Rossi - Gli Spari Sopra
#iladri
I don't know if the original was a hit (maybe it was in Italy), I only know that when I heard it, I felt nauseous.

This piece (translated not from Arabic but from Persian, titled "Sons of Adam" or "Tribes of Adam," meaning "Humanity"), as @GrantNicholas reminds us in his excellent review, Chris Martin had already performed it live nine years ago at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool... and that's it.

William Basinski - Melancholia (Full Album) @[JonatanCoe] do you like his music, his ability to stop time?

Moonchy & Tobias - Bon Bon he is an American guitarist, she is an Italian vocalist. Album from last year, a kind of psychedelic dream pop with very pleasant moments.

GG Allin - No Rights (Acoustic)

His real name was Jesus Christ and he lived just over thirty-three years (specifically almost 37).

The older brother (just under three years older) Merle was unable to pronounce his name correctly and began calling him Jeje, which then became GG.

Before starting elementary school, their mother changed his name to Kevin Michael (you can guess why...).

Gigi loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones (could it be because Gianni Morandi sang about him in '66? In hindsight, the hard judgment...).

As a teenager, he formed his first band, the "Little Sister's Date" (with the other older brother called Pinky), which lasted barely a year (nothing to do with a little dwarf, even though orally it resembles it...) the band, I mean.

In the mid-'80s, Gigi had become entirely dependent on heroin and alcohol, not to mention various other drugs which he happily abused.

One of his major idols was Hiram "Hank" King Williams, the legendary country singer-songwriter who died at just 30, three years before our Gigi was born, also lost to addiction. The last song released by Hank was "I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive," but that's another story... and what a story!

Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want To Have Fun ... #iladri

Ok, this absolute masterpiece is a cover by one Robert Hazard, very likely the father of Bo and Luke from the eponymous TV show. I didn’t know this, but I did my homework to ensure that at least one super cool track makes it to the radio (haha), a fresh-filled episode is on the horizon. Just like the face of our timeless Cindy, practically a living dictionary of cosmetics.
Who knows if she still resembles the female version of the Joker today.
Ah ... the eighties.
