Psychedelia, the real deal (10) The Frogs - These are the Finest Queen Boys (I've Ever Seen)
Let's wrap up this brief review with a little bang...
The Frogs, who are almost unknown here, are a bit of a myth in certain circles (especially in the USA). Nirvana, Beck, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins (those are the ones that come to mind now) have covered/cited/transformed/honored their songs and have always included them among their influential bands.
Why?
Take a good look at the cover, the boy is Dennis Flemion (the Frogs are him and his brother Jimmy), do you recognize the pin attached to the shirt?
If you still have doubts, listen carefully to the lyrics.....
If you’re too lazy to focus on the words, here’s a snippet of the lyrics, maybe it will spark your curiosity....
"start by kissing my ass,
i'll start by rubbing your balls
we'll have a jammy time together one and all
what will we do later on when the butter runs out?"

Biglietto per l'inferno - Confessione
...and then he became a friar...

Grinderman - No Pussy Blues (Live on Later)

there, no, nothing, just for the title...

Üstmamò - Filikudi After the Mountain, the Sea.

Vallée Noire - Manet - The view from my window.

Outsider music: classics of American classical music (45) - William Grant Still - Symphony No. 2 (1937) Symphony No.2 in G minor "Song of a New Race" - William Grant Still Perhaps the most famous Black composer of the first half of the 20th century, certainly the one who best managed to combine neo-romanticism and jazz. Some of his works, like the first symphony that I had already posted, are still performed regularly in the States.

Van Der Graaf Generator - Lemmings (Including Cog)
Have you ever found yourself associating the reading of a book with an album you were listening to at that moment?
As a kid, while reading "The Silmarillion," I listened to "Pawn Hearts" on repeat!
Morgoth defeated by the Lemmings of Peter Hammill!
