Outsider music: classics of American classical (44) - Christopher Rouse - Gorgon (1984) Christopher Rouse: Gorgon (1984) As I was about to post this listening experience, I realized that Rouse passed away a few months ago, at just 70 years old... one of the most highly regarded and best contemporary "classical" composers. Yes, because our man always composed in a neo-Romantic style (in the 21st century, you might say??), but he had a particular talent, and in cases like this, being "out of time" is not a flaw.
